JATIMTIMES - Polisi bergerak cepat menindaklanjuti laporan masyarakat terkait ditemukannya seorang pria meninggal dunia di anak Sungai Lodagung, wilayah Kecamatan Rejotangan, Kabupaten Tulungagung, Minggu (19/7/2026) pagi.

Korban diketahui berinisial AD (34), warga Kecamatan Rejotangan. Laporan diterima Polsek Rejotangan sekitar pukul 06.00 WIB setelah seorang warga yang hendak membersihkan bantaran sungai melihat sebuah sepeda motor tercebur ke sungai dan seorang laki-laki dalam kondisi tidak bergerak di aliran sungai. Saksi kemudian segera melaporkan temuan ini kepada perangkat setempat yang selanjutnya diteruskan kepada pihak kepolisian.

Mendapatkan laporan tersebut, personel Polsek Rejotangan bersama Tim Inafis Polres Tulungagung dan petugas medis dari RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung segera mendatangi lokasi untuk melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP), mengevakuasi korban, serta melakukan pemeriksaan awal.

Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan medis, tidak ditemukan adanya tanda-tanda kekerasan pada tubuh korban. Dari hasil visum, korban diduga sebelumnya mengonsumsi minuman beralkohol sehingga kehilangan kendali saat mengendarai sepeda motor dan terjatuh ke aliran sungai. Jenazah kemudian diserahkan kepada pihak keluarga untuk proses selanjutnya.

Kapolsek Rejotangan AKP Kasianto mengatakan bahwa penanganan kejadian dilakukan sesuai prosedur dengan melibatkan seluruh unsur terkait guna memastikan penyebab kejadian secara profesional.

"Begitu menerima laporan dari masyarakat, personel kami langsung menuju lokasi bersama Tim Inafis dan tenaga medis untuk melakukan olah TKP, evakuasi korban, serta pemeriksaan awal. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan medis tidak ditemukan tanda-tanda kekerasan pada tubuh korban sehingga peristiwa ini diduga merupakan kecelakaan tunggal," ujar AKP Kasianto.

Ia juga mengimbau masyarakat agar selalu mengutamakan keselamatan saat berkendara dan menghindari mengemudikan kendaraan dalam kondisi yang dapat mengurangi konsentrasi maupun kemampuan mengendalikan kendaraan.

"Kami mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk selalu mematuhi aturan lalu lintas, memastikan kondisi fisik dalam keadaan prima sebelum berkendara, serta tidak mengemudikan kendaraan apabila berada dalam kondisi yang dapat membahayakan diri sendiri maupun pengguna jalan lainnya. Keselamatan harus menjadi prioritas utama dalam setiap perjalanan," tambahnya.

Polsek Rejotangan menyampaikan belasungkawa kepada keluarga korban atas musibah tersebut. Kepolisian juga mengingatkan masyarakat agar senantiasa mengutamakan keselamatan dan kewaspadaan saat beraktivitas guna mencegah terjadinya peristiwa serupa.
