JATIMTIMES – Hari pertama Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) di SD Negeri 2 Semiring, Kecamatan Mangaran, Kabupaten Situbondo, diwarnai kehadiran jajaran Satbinmas Polres Situbondo. Tidak sekadar memperkenalkan peran kepolisian kepada para pelajar, momentum tersebut dimanfaatkan untuk menanamkan nilai kedisiplinan, etika, hingga pencegahan perundungan (bullying) sejak usia dini.

Kegiatan yang dipimpin langsung Kasat Binmas Polres Situbondo IPTU H. Rachman Fadli Kurniawan, itu berlangsung pada Rabu (15/7/2026). Sebanyak 116 siswa mulai kelas I hingga kelas VI mengikuti edukasi dengan penuh antusias di lingkungan SDN 2 Semiring, Desa Semiring.

Kehadiran personel Satbinmas disambut Kepala SDN 2 Semiring Rahmat Nurhadianto bersama dewan guru. Suasana MPLS pun berlangsung lebih semarak karena para siswa tidak hanya menerima materi pengenalan sekolah, tetapi juga pembinaan karakter langsung dari kepolisian.

Dalam penyampaiannya, Rachman mengajak para siswa membiasakan hidup disiplin, menghormati guru dan orang tua, menjaga sopan santun dalam pergaulan, serta mematuhi tata tertib sekolah sebagai bekal membentuk pribadi yang bertanggung jawab.

Ia juga mengingatkan pentingnya membangun sikap saling menghargai di lingkungan sekolah. Menurutnya, perilaku perundungan tidak boleh mendapat ruang di dunia pendidikan karena dapat mengganggu tumbuh kembang dan rasa percaya diri anak.

"Melalui kegiatan MPLS ini kami ingin menanamkan nilai-nilai kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan saling menghormati. Kami berharap anak-anak dapat belajar dengan nyaman, menjauhi perilaku negatif, serta menjadi generasi yang berprestasi dan berakhlak baik," ujar Rachman.

Menurutnya, pembinaan karakter kepada pelajar merupakan salah satu bentuk komitmen Polres Situbondo dalam mendukung terciptanya lingkungan pendidikan yang aman, nyaman, dan kondusif. Sinergi antara kepolisian, sekolah, dan orang tua dinilai menjadi kunci dalam membentuk generasi muda yang berkualitas.

Tidak hanya memberikan edukasi, Satbinmas Polres Situbondo juga menunjukkan kepedulian terhadap dunia pendidikan melalui penyerahan bantuan tas sekolah kepada sejumlah siswa yatim piatu. Bantuan tersebut diharapkan mampu menjadi penyemangat bagi para penerima untuk terus belajar dan meraih cita-cita.

Kepala SDN 2 Semiring Rahmat Nurhadianto mengapresiasi kepedulian Polres Situbondo yang telah meluangkan waktu mengisi kegiatan MPLS di sekolahnya. Menurutnya, materi yang diberikan sangat relevan dengan upaya sekolah dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik.

"Kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Polres Situbondo, khususnya Satbinmas, atas edukasi yang sangat bermanfaat bagi anak-anak kami. Materi yang disampaikan sangat positif untuk membentuk karakter siswa sejak dini. Bantuan tas sekolah bagi siswa yatim piatu juga menjadi penyemangat bagi mereka untuk terus rajin belajar dan meraih cita-cita," ungkap Rahmat.

Melalui kegiatan tersebut, Polres Situbondo kembali menegaskan komitmennya untuk hadir tidak hanya sebagai penjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat, tetapi juga sebagai mitra dunia pendidikan dalam menyiapkan generasi penerus bangsa yang cerdas, disiplin, berkarakter, serta berintegritas sejak bangku sekolah dasar.
