NIEMA Luncurkan Video Klip Berbasis AI Pertama di Malang Raya Lewat Lagu M_I_A_W

JATIMTIMES - Band independen asal Malang Raya, NIEMA, resmi merilis video klip terbaru bertajuk M_I_A_W yang diproduksi sepenuhnya menggunakan teknologi Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

Karya audio visual tersebut disebut menjadi salah satu eksplorasi video musik berbasis AI pertama dari band asal Malang yang menggabungkan unsur musik emosional, narasi kehilangan, dan teknologi kreatif dalam satu pengalaman artistik.

Video klip M_I_A_W diproduksi tanpa proses pengambilan gambar menggunakan kamera konvensional. Seluruh visual dibangun melalui teknologi Generative AI dengan pendekatan surealis dan atmosferik untuk menggambarkan memori, kehilangan, serta hubungan emosional antara manusia dan hewan peliharaan.

Drummer NIEMA, Jijunt, mengatakan lagu tersebut tidak hanya berbicara tentang kucing atau hewan peliharaan, melainkan tentang bentuk cinta yang tetap hidup meski sosok yang dicintai telah pergi.

“M_I_A_W bukan sekadar tentang kucing. Ini tentang bagaimana manusia tetap mencoba mencintai sesuatu yang sudah tidak lagi hadir secara fisik,” kata Jijunt, Senin (25/5/2026).

Judul M_I_A_W sendiri memiliki dua makna. Selain menyerupai suara kucing, nama tersebut juga merupakan singkatan dari Mencintaimu in Another Way. Konsep itu menjadi dasar utama NIEMA dalam membangun lagu dan visual yang berbicara tentang kehilangan, kenangan, hingga rasa rindu yang tetap tinggal meski waktu terus berjalan.

Secara musikal, NIEMA menghadirkan nuansa intimate, gelap, dan atmosferik melalui permainan ambience, layering gitar, serta dinamika emosi yang dibuat menyerupai perjalanan memori.

Gitaris sekaligus produser musik NIEMA, Gege Praseta, mengungkapkan bahwa lagu tersebut sengaja dibuat tidak terlalu literal agar pendengar dapat memaknai emosinya secara personal.

“Kami ingin membangun atmosfer yang emosional, tapi tetap memberi ruang bagi pendengar untuk memaknai kehilangan dengan cara mereka sendiri,” ucap Gege.

Menurut Gege, pendekatan tersebut membuat M_I_A_W dapat diterjemahkan lebih luas, baik tentang kehilangan hewan peliharaan, seseorang yang dicintai, maupun kerinduan terhadap sesuatu yang pernah menjadi bagian penting dalam hidup.

Eksplorasi emosional itu kemudian diterjemahkan ke dalam visual eksperimental berbasis AI oleh AI Artist sekaligus Director, Luwky Kurniawan. Ia menyebut konsep visual video klip dibangun seperti fragmen memori yang menggambarkan seseorang masih mencoba mencintai sosok yang telah pergi.

“Pendekatan visualnya saya bangun seperti fragmen memori. Seolah-olah tokoh di video ini masih mencoba mencintai sosok yang sudah pergi, in another way,” terangnya.

Luwky menjelaskan seluruh proses produksi video klip dilakukan dalam waktu singkat dengan memanfaatkan teknologi AI generatif. Menurutnya, penggunaan AI bukan untuk menggantikan kreativitas manusia, melainkan sebagai medium baru untuk memperluas imajinasi artistik.

“AI itu cuma tools. Nyawa dan ide tetap datang dari human touch,” tegasnya.

Video klip M_I_A_W juga melibatkan XCHAIN ASIA sebagai Creative Technology Partner dalam pengembangan visual berbasis AI.

Melalui proyek tersebut, NIEMA ingin menunjukkan bahwa musik independen daerah juga mampu menghadirkan karya kontemporer yang memadukan teknologi, budaya populer, dan eksplorasi visual modern. Band asal Malang Raya itu pun berkomitmen terus menghadirkan inovasi baru dalam skena musik independen tanah air.
