JATIMTIMES – Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Kota Batu meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap ancaman penyebaran Hantavirus seiring meningkatnya mobilitas wisatawan. Langkah antisipasi ini diperketat di berbagai fasilitas publik guna mengeliminasi potensi penularan penyakit zoonosis yang dibawa oleh hewan pengerat tersebut.

Kepala Bidang Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit (P2P) Dinkes Kota Batu, dr. Icang Sarrazin, mengingatkan bahwa infeksi virus ini sangat berbahaya karena memiliki daya rusak tinggi terhadap organ vital manusia. Penularan utamanya dipicu oleh paparan partikel debu atau udara yang telah tercemar oleh sisa kotoran, urine, maupun air liur tikus liar.

“Kalau sudah berat, bisa menyerang paru-paru dan fungsi ginjal. Itu yang berbahaya karena dapat menyebabkan gangguan pernapasan serius,” ujar Icang Sarrazin saat dikonfirmasi, Senin (18/5/2026).

Petugas dinkes kini memperluas jangkauan pengawasan sanitasi lingkungan dengan menyasar area perhotelan, penginapan, restoran, hingga destinasi wisata yang padat pengunjung. Para pengelola usaha pariwisata diimbau secara tegas untuk memperketat kebersihan pergudangan dan menutup akses masuknya tikus ke area pelayanan.

Masyarakat juga diminta mengenali gejala awal klinis menyerupai flu berat, seperti demam tinggi mendadak, nyeri sendi, tubuh lemas, hingga sesak napas akut. Penanganan medis secara cepat di fasilitas kesehatan terdekat menjadi kunci utama untuk menghindari fatalitas akibat keterlambatan diagnosis luar.

“Kalau mengalami demam tinggi, nyeri otot, batuk, sampai sesak napas, segera periksa ke fasilitas kesehatan agar bisa cepat ditangani,” imbau Icang.

Icang mengingatkan pentingnya deteksi dini bagi warga maupun pelancong. Meskipun hingga saat ini belum tercatat adanya temuan kasus Hantavirus di Bumi Kota Wisata, kesiapan infrastruktur medis tetap disiagakan penuh pada lima puskesmas dan enam rumah sakit rujukan. Selain itu, masyarakat diharapkan terus menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) dalam menjaga ketahanan sanitasi lingkungan keluarga.

Penggunaan alat pelindung diri sederhana seperti masker juga sangat disarankan, terutama saat warga beraktivitas di area tertutup yang berdebu atau lokasi keramaian. Langkah mandiri tersebut dinilai efektif menangkal terhirupnya mikropartikel berbahaya yang melayang di udara bebas.

“Kalau berada di tempat berdebu atau banyak orang, sebaiknya pakai masker. Itu langkah sederhana yang penting untuk pencegahan,” pungkasnya.
