JATIMTIMES - Libur panjang akhir pekan membawa dampak positif bagi pusat perbelanjaan di Kota Malang. Dua mal besar di kota ini mengalami lonjakan jumlah pengunjung, dengan peningkatan yang paling terasa pada tenant kuliner, hiburan, dan area permainan keluarga.
Salah satu pusat perbelanjaan yang mengalami kenaikan kunjungan yakni Malang Town Square. Pada hari biasa, mal tersebut rata-rata dikunjungi sekitar 18 ribu orang. Namun saat libur panjang pekan ini, jumlah pengunjung meningkat hingga menembus 20 ribu orang per hari. Kenaikan itu turut berdampak pada transaksi yang tercatat naik sekitar 7 persen.

Area kuliner dan tenant permainan menjadi magnet utama selama long weekend. Kehadiran sejumlah kafe yang menawarkan konsep nyaman untuk bekerja atau sekadar bersantai juga ikut menambah keramaian.
“Sedikit banyak itu menambah jumlah pengunjung yang gemar nongkrong di mal,” kata Mal Director Malang Town Square, Fifi Trisjanti.
Meski suasana mal terlihat lebih ramai, Fifi mengakui tingkat belanja masyarakat belum sepenuhnya pulih. Ia menilai daya beli warga masih cenderung tertahan, terutama untuk pembelian barang-barang bernilai besar seperti elektronik. Karena itu, pihak pengelola memilih memperkuat sektor makanan, minuman, dan hiburan sebagai strategi menarik pengunjung.
Menurut Fifi, berbagai tenant kafe populer sengaja dihadirkan untuk menjawab perubahan kebiasaan masyarakat yang kini lebih senang menghabiskan waktu di mal tanpa harus berbelanja banyak.
“Kami siasati dengan memasukkan brand ternama yang berhasil bertahan saat pandemi. Juga kafe-kafe hits yang berhasil bertahan di Kota Malang,” imbuh Fifi.
Selain tenant baru, pihak pengelola aktif menggelar beragam acara untuk meningkatkan kunjungan. Mulai dari pameran properti, otomotif, dekorasi pernikahan, hingga pertunjukan komunitas seperti K-Pop dance yang belakangan cukup diminati kalangan muda.

Lonjakan serupa juga terjadi di Mal Olympic Garden. Jika biasanya angka kunjungan sekitar 33 ribu pengunjung per hari, pada libur panjang kali ini, jumlah pengunjung diproyeksikan melonjak hingga 45 ribu orang.
Leasing Executive PT Mustika Taman Olympic (manajemen Mal Olympic Garden), Peptina Magdalena, menjelaskan lonjakan pengunjung akhir pekan ini jauh lebih tinggi dibanding hari biasa dan berdampak langsung pada aktivitas transaksi di dalam mal.
“Peningkatan kunjungan pada long weekend kali ini di kisaran 50 persen. Itu otomatis juga menggenjot transaksi pembelian di mal,” terangnya.
