JATIMTIMES - Libur panjang Kenaikan Yesus Kristus membawa angin segar bagi industri perhotelan di Kota Malang. Tingkat hunian hotel di berbagai kawasan mengalami kenaikan signifikan, seiring membludaknya wisatawan yang datang untuk menikmati momen libur nasional dan cuti bersama.

Selama periode 16-17 Mei 2026, hotel-hotel di Kota Malang dipadati tamu, terutama sejak Kamis saat arus kedatangan wisatawan mulai meningkat. Puncaknya terjadi pada Sabtu hingga Minggu, ketika banyak penginapan mencatat kamar hampir penuh.

Ketua PHRI Kota Malang Agoes Basoeki mengungkapkan, rata-rata okupansi hotel selama libur panjang kali ini berada di kisaran 70 persen. Bahkan, untuk sejumlah hotel kelas menengah hingga premium, tingkat keterisian kamar melonjak jauh lebih tinggi.

“Rata-rata peningkatan di setiap hotel ada di kisaran 70 persen. Tetapi di beberapa hotel khususnya menengah ke atas dapat mencapai 80 sampai 90 persen,” kata Agoes, Senin (18/5/2026).

Menurutnya, lonjakan tamu tak lepas dari tingginya minat masyarakat memanfaatkan libur panjang untuk berwisata. Tak hanya destinasi wisata, pusat kuliner yang tersebar di berbagai sudut Kota Malang juga ikut ramai diserbu pengunjung.

“Wisatawan banyak berlibur ke tempat-tempat wisata, begitu juga tempat kuliner yang tersebar di Kota Malang,” imbuh Agoes.

Peningkatan okupansi ini menjadi kabar baik bagi pelaku usaha perhotelan. Sebab, sektor tersebut masih sangat bergantung pada momen libur nasional untuk mendongkrak pendapatan, terutama setelah hari-hari biasa atau weekday cenderung mencatat okupansi lebih rendah.

Menariknya, capaian pada long weekend pertengahan Mei ini hampir serupa dengan libur panjang pada awal bulan lalu. Saat itu, rata-rata keterisian hotel di Kota Malang juga berada di angka 70 hingga 80 persen, bahkan beberapa hotel sempat menembus 90 persen.

Tren tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Kota Malang masih menjadi salah satu tujuan favorit wisatawan saat musim liburan. Agoes pun berharap kondisi bisa terus berlangsung.
