JATIMTIMES - Awal tahun 2026 menjadi momen penuh kebahagiaan di Batu Secret Zoo. Sejumlah satwa baru lahir dan menambah semarak koleksi kebun binatang yang dikenal aktif dalam program konservasi tersebut.
Kelahiran pertama datang dari bayi alpaka yang dijuluki “Fluffy” pada 6 Januari. Dengan bulu lembut khasnya, bayi alpaka ini bisa dilihat pengunjung di area luar pada siang hari.

Tak lama berselang, kabar menggembirakan juga datang dari kelahiran babi rusa satwa endemik Indonesia yang tergolong langka pada 7 Januari. Meski sempat pemalu, kini bayi babi rusa mulai aktif belajar makan dari induknya.
Memasuki pertengahan Januari, dua bayi impala lahir dari indukan berbeda pada 17 Januari. Keduanya kini tumbuh aktif dan mulai menunjukkan karakter gesit khas impala yang mampu melompat jauh.
Disusul kelahiran cotton top tamarin pada 25 Januari. Primata mungil dikenal memiliki ikatan sosial kuat dalam kelompoknya.
Menariknya, pada 30 Januari yang bertepatan dengan Hari Primata Indonesia seekor bayi bekantan juga lahir. Primata khas Kalimantan dengan hidung unik ini menambah catatan keberhasilan konservasi, sekaligus menjadi kelahiran ke-8 spesies tersebut di Batu Secret Zoo.
Rangkaian kelahiran berlanjut hingga Maret 2026. Seekor bayi colobus lahir pada 10 Maret dengan ciri khas warna putih yang nantinya akan berubah seiring pertumbuhan.
Terakhir, kelahiran bayi wolf’s guenon pada 21 Maret menjadi sorotan tersendiri, mengingat primata berwarna mencolok asal Afrika ini masih jarang ditemukan di kebun binatang Asia.
Marketing and Public Relations Manager Jawa Timur Park Group, Titik Ariyanto, mengatakan bahwa deretan kelahiran ini menjadi bukti komitmen Batu Secret Zoo dalam menjaga keberlanjutan satwa.
“Setiap kelahiran adalah harapan baru, bukan hanya bagi kami, tetapi juga bagi upaya pelestarian satwa di masa depan. Ini menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan dan perawatan yang kami berikan mampu mendukung reproduksi alami satwa,” katanya.

Ia juga menambahkan bahwa kehadiran satwa-satwa baru ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga keanekaragaman hayati.
“Melalui momen ini, kami ingin mengajak masyarakat untuk lebih peduli terhadap konservasi. Datang berkunjung bukan sekadar rekreasi, tapi juga bentuk dukungan nyata terhadap pelestarian satwa,” tambahnya.
Rangkaian kelahiran ini tak hanya membawa kebahagiaan bagi pengelola, tetapi juga menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi pengunjung yang ingin melihat langsung satwa-satwa lucu tersebut. Lebih dari itu, kehadiran mereka menjadi pengingat bahwa upaya konservasi membutuhkan perhatian dan dukungan bersama.
Terpisah, seorang pengunjung, Delina (28) asal Jawa Barat, mengaku terkesan dengan kehadiran satwa-satwa baru ini, terlebih ini menjadi momentum pertama kalinya ke Batu Secret Zoo.
“Lucu banget, apalagi bayi alpakanya. Anak saya sampai nggak mau pindah dari depan kandang. Ini jadi pengalaman yang menyenangkan sekaligus edukatif,” katanya.
Menurutnya, keberadaan satwa langka menjadi nilai tambah tersendiri. “Jarang bisa lihat babirusa dan bekantan dari dekat, apalagi masih bayi. Ini bikin kita lebih sadar kalau satwa-satwa ini memang harus dijaga,” terang Delina.
