JATIMTIMES - Persija Jakarta kembali memperkuat komposisi skuadnya menjelang bergulirnya Super League 2026/2027. Kali ini, Macan Kemayoran memboyong pemain asal Jepang, Kyohei Yoshino, untuk menambah kekuatan di lini tengah.

Yoshino didatangkan dari klub J1 League, Cerezo Osaka, dan langsung diikat kontrak berdurasi dua musim. Perekrutannya menjadi lanjutan langkah Persija setelah sebelumnya lebih dulu fokus memperkuat sektor pertahanan dengan mendatangkan beberapa pemain asing.

Kehadiran gelandang berusia 31 tahun itu diharapkan memberi keseimbangan permainan sekaligus menambah pengalaman di ruang ganti. Sebab, Yoshino sudah cukup lama berkiprah di level tertinggi sepak bola Asia.

Sepanjang karier profesionalnya, pemain kelahiran Prefektur Miyagi tersebut pernah memperkuat sejumlah klub Jepang, seperti Tokyo Verdy, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Vegalta Sendai, Yokohama FC, hingga Cerezo Osaka. 

Ia juga sempat merasakan atmosfer kompetisi Korea Selatan bersama Daegu FC. Berbekal pengalaman tersebut, Persija berharap Yoshino bisa cepat beradaptasi dengan atmosfer Liga Indonesia.

Tak hanya dikenal sebagai gelandang bertahan yang disiplin, Yoshino juga memiliki mobilitas tinggi dan kemampuan menjaga keseimbangan permainan. Statistik kariernya pun cukup mentereng.

Sejak menjalani debut profesional pada 2012, ia telah mencatatkan lebih dari 300 penampilan di berbagai kompetisi dengan torehan 14 gol.

Yoshino mengaku tak membutuhkan waktu lama untuk menerima tawaran Persija. Menurutnya, kesempatan bermain untuk klub dengan basis suporter besar menjadi tantangan yang ingin dijalaninya.

"Saya sangat senang dan bangga bisa bergabung dengan Persija. Saya mengetahui bahwa Persija adalah klub besar dengan suporter yang sangat luar biasa," kata Yoshino dalam keterangan resmi klub, Selasa (14/7/2026).

Ia pun bertekad memberikan kontribusi maksimal sejak hari pertama bergabung. "Saya siap bekerja keras, memberikan kemampuan terbaik dalam setiap latihan dan pertandingan, serta membantu tim mencapai target pada musim ini," ujarnya.

Presiden Persija Mohamad Prapanca menilai pengalaman Yoshino di Jepang dan Korea Selatan akan menjadi nilai tambah bagi skuad Macan Kemayoran yang tengah dibangun untuk musim baru.

Menurutnya, Persija tidak hanya membutuhkan pemain berkualitas secara teknis, tetapi juga sosok yang mampu menghadirkan mental juara di dalam tim.

"Kyohei merupakan gelandang berpengalaman dengan karakter pekerja keras, disiplin, dan memiliki mentalitas yang kami butuhkan," ujar Prapanca.

"Pengalamannya bermain di kompetisi tertinggi Jepang dan Korea Selatan diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi tim, tidak hanya dalam permainan namun juga di ruang ganti," sambungnya.

Prapanca menambahkan, perekrutan Yoshino merupakan bagian dari upaya Persija membangun skuad yang lebih seimbang demi bersaing di papan atas Super League musim depan.

Macan Kemayoran masih memburu prestasi terbaik setelah terakhir kali mengangkat trofi liga pada musim 2018. Manajemen berharap kehadiran Yoshino bisa membantu mewujudkan target tersebut.

"Kami berharap Kyohei dapat segera beradaptasi, menyatu dengan tim, dan memberikan kontribusi terbaik selama dua musim bersama Persija," tuturnya.
