JATIMTIMES - Pola pembentuk inflasi di Kota Malang mulai bergeser. Jika selama ini gejolak harga pangan kerap menjadi pemicu utama kenaikan inflasi, pada Juni 2026 justru kelompok transportasi mengambil alih peran tersebut.

Berdasarkan rilis Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Malang, inflasi secara tahunan (year-on-year/yoy) pada Juni 2026 tercatat sebesar 3,16 persen. Angka tersebut masih lebih rendah dibandingkan inflasi Provinsi Jawa Timur yang mencapai 3,36 persen maupun nasional sebesar 3,34 persen.

Sementara itu, inflasi bulanan (month-to-month/mtm) tercatat sebesar 0,34 persen, sedangkan inflasi tahun kalender (year-to-date/ytd) mencapai 1,66 persen.

Kepala BPS Kota Malang, Umar Sjaifudin, menjelaskan bahwa kelompok transportasi menjadi penyumbang terbesar inflasi pada Juni. Kondisi tersebut dipicu oleh kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak (BBM) nonsubsidi serta meningkatnya tarif angkutan udara selama periode libur sekolah.

"Kelompok transportasi menjadi penyumbang terbesar inflasi bulan Juni. Kenaikan harga BBM nonsubsidi dan tarif angkutan udara pada masa libur sekolah menjadi faktor utama yang mendorong peningkatan inflasi di Kota Malang," ujarnya dalam Rilis Berita Resmi Statistik (BRS), Sabtu (4/7/2026).

Di sisi lain, tekanan inflasi sebenarnya sempat tertahan oleh penurunan harga sejumlah komoditas pangan. Beberapa bahan kebutuhan pokok yang mengalami penurunan harga antara lain daging ayam ras, cabai rawit, telur ayam ras, tomat, hingga udang basah.

BPS juga mencatat kenaikan harga bawang merah dan bawang putih turut memberi andil terhadap inflasi. Peningkatan harga kedua komoditas tersebut dipengaruhi terbatasnya pasokan menjelang masa panen serta naiknya biaya impor.

Meski mengalami kenaikan inflasi pada Juni, posisi Kota Malang masih relatif lebih baik dibandingkan sejumlah daerah. Secara bulanan, inflasi Kota Malang sebesar 0,34 persen masih berada di bawah Kota Surabaya yang pada periode sama mencatat inflasi sebesar 0,46 persen.

Perubahan komposisi penyumbang inflasi ini menunjukkan bahwa tekanan terhadap harga di Kota Malang tidak lagi didominasi oleh komoditas pangan. Faktor mobilitas masyarakat, terutama pada momentum libur sekolah, mulai memberi pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap laju inflasi dibandingkan gejolak harga sejumlah bahan makanan.
