JATIMTIMES – Ruas jalan di kawasan Simpang Patih (Simpang Orchid), Kota Batu, segera diberlakukan penutupan total selama 24 jam non-stop. Langkah sterilisasi jalur secara penuh ini terpaksa diambil menyusul dimulainya pengerjaan fisik proyek preservasi infrastruktur oleh pemerintah daerah.
Penutupan total tanpa celah ini diprediksi akan berlangsung selama tiga bulan ke depan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan proyek pengerjaan tidak hanya sekadar melakukan perbaikan permukaan aspal biasa, melainkan merombak total konstruksi jalan menjadi jalan beton (rigid pavement).

Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Batu Esty Dwiastuti memaparkan bahwa akses jalan harus ditutup penuh karena teknis pengecoran beton membutuhkan waktu pengeringan yang maksimal tanpa boleh terganggu oleh getaran kendaraan.
"Konstruksi di ruas Jalan Hasanudin akan kami ganti total menggunakan beton rigid. Karena membutuhkan waktu pengeringan yang sempurna, akses di area tersebut terpaksa ditutup total selama 24 jam penuh hingga seluruh pekerjaan selesai," ujar Esty Dwiastuti saat mengonfirmasi teknis proyek di lapangan, belum lama ini.
Selain pembetonan, proyek ini juga mencakup penataan ulang geometri persimpangan. Untuk diketahui, pembangunan Simpang Patih sudah direncanakan sejak tahun 2025 lalu oleh DPUPR dan baru terealisasi tahun 2026.
Proses sterilisasi bangunan memakan waktu hingga sebulan untuk warung dan bangunan pedagang di sekitar perempatan. Sebagian dilakukan pembongkaran dengan alat berat oleh dinas terkait sejak awal Juni lalu. Menjelang batas waktu akhir Juni, pedagang melakukan pengosongan dan pembongkaran mandiri meski masih menunggu kepastian relokasi.

Esty menguraikan bahwa proyek penataan ini sangat krusial untuk memperluas daya tampung kendaraan di simpul yang menghubungkan Jalan Indragiri, Jalan Trunojoyo, dan Jalan Hasanudin tersebut. Penataan fisik ini ditargetkan mampu memangkas titik botol (bottleneck) yang selama ini memicu kemacetan di kawasan hulu.
"Rencana ke depan, pelebaran jalan di titik persimpangan utama tersebut nantinya akan menyentuh angka sekitar 10 meter. Sesuai dengan ikatan kontrak kerja yang berjalan, proyek ditargetkan rampung dalam waktu 150 hari kalender atau sekitar bulan September mendatang," pungkas Esty.
