Pembukaan kegiatan Kapolres Gresik Esports Competition 2026 dalam rangka memperingati Hari Bhayangkara Ke-80 yang berlangsung di Gedung Nasional Indonesia (GNI) Gresik.
JATIMTIMES - Polres Gresik menggelar Kapolres Gresik Esports Competition 2026 dalam rangka memperingati Hari Bhayangkara Ke-80. Kegiatan yang berlangsung di Gedung Nasional Indonesia (GNI) Gresik, Jumat (19/6/2026), itu menjadi wadah pembinaan talenta muda sekaligus ajang penjaringan atlet esports berprestasi di Kabupaten Gresik.
Turnamen yang digelar selama dua hari tersebut diproyeksikan menjadi pintu awal bagi atlet esports asal Kota Pudak untuk berlaga pada ajang Esports Kapolri Cup 2026.

Kapolres Gresik AKBP Ramadhan Nasution mengapresiasi seluruh pihak yang telah mendukung terselenggaranya turnamen tersebut. Menurut dia, esports kini telah berkembang menjadi olahraga yang diminati berbagai kalangan dan memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda.
"Melalui kolaborasi Polres Gresik bersama Disparekrafbudpora dan ESI Kabupaten Gresik, kami ingin menghadirkan wadah positif bagi generasi muda untuk menyalurkan bakat dan meraih prestasi," ujarnya.
AKBP Ramadhan menegaskan bahwa esports tidak sekadar permainan digital. Di dalamnya terdapat nilai-nilai penting seperti kerja sama tim, strategi, disiplin, kekompakan, serta semangat pantang menyerah yang dapat membentuk generasi muda produktif dan berdaya saing.
Puncak pembukaan ditandai dengan pernyataan resmi pembukaan turnamen oleh kapolres Gresik. "Dengan mengucap Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Kapolres Gresik Esports Competition 2026 dalam rangka Hari Bhayangkara Ke-80 secara resmi saya nyatakan dibuka," ucapnya yang disambut tepuk tangan para peserta dan tamu undangan.
Ia juga berpesan kepada seluruh peserta agar menjunjung tinggi sportivitas, menjaga etika selama pertandingan, serta memanfaatkan kompetisi ini sebagai sarana mengembangkan kemampuan dan pengalaman bertanding.

Sementara itu, Bupati Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani memberikan apresiasi atas inisiatif Polres Gresik yang menghadirkan kompetisi esports sebagai bagian dari rangkaian peringatan Hari Bhayangkara Ke-80.
Menurut dia, kegiatan tersebut tidak hanya menjadi ajang kompetisi, tetapi juga sarana mempererat silaturahmi antarkomunitas esports dan generasi muda di Kabupaten Gresik. "Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Bhayangkara, kegiatan ini menjadi wadah silaturahmi bagi komunitas esports. Mudah-mudahan seluruh peserta merasa senang dan kompetisi ini berjalan sukses hingga akhir," katanya.
Gus Yani menilai Kabupaten Gresik memiliki banyak talenta muda di bidang esports yang berpotensi meraih prestasi di tingkat regional maupun nasional. "Kami melihat banyak bakat esports di Gresik. Turnamen ini bisa menjadi langkah awal untuk melahirkan atlet-atlet berprestasi yang mampu mengharumkan nama daerah," pungkasnya.
Melalui Kapolres Gresik Esports Competition 2026, Polres Gresik tidak hanya memeriahkan Hari Bhayangkara Ke-80, tetapi juga memperkuat sinergi antara Polri, pemerintah daerah, komunitas, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung perkembangan olahraga digital yang semakin diminati generasi muda.
Turnamen ini diharapkan menjadi momentum lahirnya bibit-bibit atlet esports potensial yang mampu membawa nama Gresik bersaing di level yang lebih tinggi.
