JATIMTIMES - Niat seorang warga negara asing (WNA) asal Arab Saudi untuk mengubah jadwal keberangkatan bus di Terminal Arjosari, Kota Malang, hampir berujung petaka. Alih-alih mendapatkan bantuan resmi, calon penumpang tersebut justru nyaris menjadi korban penipuan berkedok layanan penjadwalan ulang atau reschedule tiket.
Beruntung, kecurigaan korban dan respons cepat petugas Terminal Tipe A Arjosari berhasil menggagalkan aksi tersebut sebelum uang berpindah ke tangan pelaku.

Pengawas Satuan Pelayanan Terminal Tipe A Arjosari Malang, Mega Perwira Donowati, mengatakan mulanya korban telah membeli tiket bus melalui aplikasi perjalanan untuk keberangkatan pada Rabu (10/6/2026). Namun, karena memiliki keperluan lain, korban memutuskan untuk mengubah jadwal perjalanan.
“Korban mencoba reschedule melalui aplikasi, tetapi tidak berhasil. Karena itu, yang bersangkutan datang langsung ke Terminal Arjosari untuk mencari solusi terkait perubahan jadwal keberangkatan,” kata Mega, Jumat (19/6/2026).
Setibanya di terminal, korban diketahui hendak mencari petugas dari perusahaan otobus (PO) yang bersangkutan. Namun, petugas resmi perusahaan tersebut sedang cuti. Korban kemudian diarahkan untuk menghubungi nomor petugas resmi, tetapi tidak mendapatkan respons.
Dalam situasi kebingungan, korban menemukan nomor telepon lain yang diduga sebagai kontak resmi pengelola bus. Tanpa mengetahui bahwa nomor tersebut bukan milik pihak perusahaan, korban kemudian menghubunginya.
Pelaku yang menerima panggilan itu lantas meyakinkan korban bahwa proses perubahan jadwal dapat dilakukan. Namun, ada syarat yang harus dipenuhi, yakni mentransfer sejumlah uang terlebih dahulu.
Permintaan tersebut justru memunculkan kecurigaan pada diri korban. Ia kemudian mencoba menghubungi kembali nomor resmi perusahaan otobus dan menceritakan seluruh percakapan yang sebelumnya terjadi.
Informasi tersebut selanjutnya diteruskan kepada petugas Terminal Arjosari untuk dilakukan penelusuran. Dari hasil klarifikasi, diketahui bahwa nomor yang sebelumnya dihubungi korban bukan merupakan kontak resmi perusahaan bus.

“Korban bersyukur karena segera dihubungi petugas terminal dan diberikan penjelasan, sehingga tidak sampai melakukan transfer uang seperti yang diminta oleh pelaku,” tambah Mega.
Petugas menduga nomor telepon yang digunakan pelaku sengaja ditempel atau disisipkan oleh pihak tak bertanggung jawab di antara daftar tarif tiket yang berada di sekitar loket pelayanan. Modus tersebut diduga dilakukan untuk menjebak calon penumpang yang membutuhkan bantuan terkait layanan bus.
Mendapati kejadian tersebut, Terminal Arjosari berkomitmen meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap area pelayanan, termasuk memastikan informasi yang tersedia di sekitar loket benar-benar berasal dari sumber resmi.
“Kami akan memperketat pengawasan terhadap loket-loket dan petugas agar lebih waspada. Agar kejadian serupa tidak terulang dan masyarakat merasa aman saat menggunakan layanan transportasi umum,” tutupnya.
