JATIMTIMES - Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Malang mencatat sebanyak 851.692 wisatawan nusantara (wisnus) berkunjung ke Kota Malang selama April 2026. Meski mengalami penurunan dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya, tingkat hunian hotel di Kota Pendidikan ini justru mengalami peningkatan.

Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Malang, Umar Sjaifudin, mengatakan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan nusantara tujuan Kota Malang pada April 2026 turun 1,45 persen dibandingkan Maret 2026 yang mencapai 864.238 kunjungan.

“Pada April 2026, jumlah wisatawan nusantara yang berkunjung ke Kota Malang tercatat sebanyak 851.692 perjalanan. Angka ini turun 1,45 persen dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya,” kata Umar.

Jika dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama tahun lalu, jumlah wisatawan yang datang ke Kota Malang juga mengalami penurunan cukup signifikan. Pada April 2025, jumlah kunjungan wisatawan nusantara tercatat mencapai 1.083.772 perjalanan, atau lebih tinggi 21,41 persen dibandingkan tahun ini.

Tak hanya wisatawan yang datang, jumlah warga Kota Malang yang melakukan perjalanan ke berbagai daerah juga mengalami penurunan. BPS mencatat jumlah wisatawan nusantara asal Kota Malang pada April 2026 mencapai 786.624 perjalanan.

Jumlah tersebut turun 24,57 persen dibandingkan Maret 2026 yang mencapai 1.042.835 perjalanan. Sementara dibandingkan April 2025 yang mencapai 1.082.970 perjalanan, penurunannya juga mencapai 21,41 persen.

Menurut Umar, sejumlah agenda besar yang berlangsung selama April 2026 turut memberi warna terhadap aktivitas pariwisata di Kota Malang. Beberapa di antaranya adalah peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun Kota Malang ke-112 pada 1 April 2026, libur Wafat Isa Almasih pada 3 April, konser Hey Slank pada 19 April, Malang Youth Festival 2026 pada 25 April, hingga ajang Malang Half Marathon 2026 pada 26 April.

“Beberapa kegiatan berskala besar yang berlangsung selama April 2026 turut mendukung pergerakan masyarakat dan aktivitas pariwisata di Kota Malang,” imbuh Umar.

Di tengah menurunnya jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, tingkat penghunian kamar (TPK) hotel di Kota Malang justru menunjukkan tren positif. Pada April 2026, TPK hotel mencapai 40,69 persen, naik 5,47 poin dibandingkan Maret 2026 yang sebesar 35,22 persen.

“TPK hotel Kota Malang pada April 2026 mencapai 40,69 persen. Angka ini lebih tinggi dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya yang sebesar 35,22 persen,” jelas Umar.

Meski demikian, tingkat hunian hotel tersebut masih lebih rendah dibandingkan April 2025 yang saat itu mencapai 47,05 persen atau turun 6,36 poin secara tahunan.

Menariknya, tingkat okupansi hotel di Kota Malang masih lebih baik dibandingkan rata-rata Jawa Timur maupun nasional. TPK hotel Kota Malang tercatat 7,29 poin lebih tinggi dibandingkan Jawa Timur yang sebesar 33,40 persen, serta 3,61 poin lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nasional yang mencapai 37,08 persen.

Selain tingkat hunian, rata-rata lama menginap tamu (RLMT) di Kota Malang juga mengalami peningkatan. Selama April 2026, rata-rata tamu hotel menghabiskan waktu 1,32 hari atau berkisar antara satu hingga dua hari.

“Rata-rata lama menginap tamu hotel di Kota Malang pada April 2026 mencapai 1,32 hari, sedikit meningkat dibandingkan Maret 2026 yang sebesar 1,31 hari,” ungkap Umar.

RLMT Kota Malang tercatat lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata Jawa Timur yang sebesar 1,24 hari. Namun, masih berada di bawah rata-rata nasional yang mencapai 1,49 hari.

Jika dilihat berdasarkan klasifikasi hotel, rata-rata lama menginap tamu di hotel berbintang mencapai 1,44 hari, meningkat dibandingkan Maret 2026 yang sebesar 1,38 hari. Angka tersebut juga lebih tinggi dibandingkan hotel berbintang di Jawa Timur yang rata-rata lama menginap tamunya 1,35 hari.

BPS Kota Malang juga mencatat bahwa mayoritas tamu hotel masih didominasi wisatawan domestik. Dari seluruh tamu hotel yang menginap selama April 2026, sebanyak 97,44 persen merupakan tamu nusantara, sedangkan tamu asing hanya menyumbang 2,56 persen.

“Komposisi tamu hotel di Kota Malang masih didominasi wisatawan nusantara dengan porsi mencapai 97,44 persen, sedangkan tamu asing sebesar 2,56 persen,” tutup Umar.
