JATIMTIMES - Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Disdikbud) Kota Malang memastikan pelaksanaan Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB ) tahun ini berjalan dengan pola yang hampir sama seperti tahun sebelumnya. Disdikbud juga menjamin sistem penentuan jarak pada jalur domisili atau zonasi telah akurat dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.
Kepala Disdikbud Kota Malang, Suwarjana, mengatakan mekanisme, tahapan, dan urutan pelaksanaan PPDB untuk jenjang TK, SD, dan SMP negeri di Kota Malang tidak mengalami perubahan signifikan dibanding tahun lalu.

“Kalau untuk Kota Malang, TK, SD, dan SMP, prosesnya hampir sama dengan tahun kemarin. Jalur-jalurnya sama, urutannya juga sama,” ujarnya.
Menanggapi masukan DPRD terkait perlunya pengawasan lebih ketat pada jalur zonasi yang selama ini kerap memunculkan aduan masyarakat, Suwarjana menegaskan sistem yang digunakan telah berbasis pemetaan digital dan pengukuran radius yang akurat.
Menurutnya, apabila ada calon peserta didik yang merasa rumahnya lebih dekat ke sekolah namun tidak diterima, sementara peserta lain yang dianggap lebih jauh justru lolos, masyarakat dipersilakan menyampaikan aduan ke posko PPDB.
“Saya yakin 100 persen akurat. Kalau ada yang merasa lebih dekat tapi tidak diterima, silakan datang ke posko. Nanti kita lihat bersama-sama datanya,” katanya.
Ia menjelaskan penghitungan jarak dalam sistem PPDB tidak menggunakan rute perjalanan atau akses jalan yang ditempuh sehari-hari, melainkan berdasarkan radius atau garis lurus dari titik domisili menuju sekolah tujuan.
“Yang kami pakai itu radius berdasarkan peta, bukan jarak tempuh jalan. Jadi kalau ada yang komplain, mari kita cek bersama-sama di posko agar semuanya jelas,” tegasnya.

Sementara itu, terkait pemerataan jumlah peserta didik antara sekolah negeri dan swasta, Suwarjana menilai faktor utama tetap berada pada pilihan dan minat masyarakat. Disdikbud hanya mengatur kapasitas penerimaan di sekolah negeri agar tetap memberi ruang bagi sekolah swasta.
Ia menyebut jumlah lulusan SD di Kota Malang mencapai sekitar 13 ribu siswa setiap tahun, sedangkan daya tampung SMP negeri hanya sekitar 7 ribu siswa. “Kalau lulusan SD sekitar 13 ribu lebih, sementara yang diterima di SMP negeri hanya sekitar 7 ribuan, berarti sisanya memang akan masuk ke sekolah swasta,” jelasnya.
Karena itu, Suwarjana mendorong sekolah swasta terus meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan kepercayaan masyarakat agar mampu menarik minat calon peserta didik.
“Kami hanya membatasi pagu di sekolah negeri. Selebihnya saya kembalikan kepada yayasan dan sekolah swasta, bagaimana mereka bisa meyakinkan masyarakat bahwa lembaganya layak menjadi pilihan,” pungkasnya.
