JATIMTIMES - Kenaikan nilai tukar dolar Amerika Serikat terhadap rupiah disebut belum terlalu berdampak pada perputaran ekonomi masyarakat di Kota Malang. Terutama untuk kebutuhan pokok harian yang tidak bergantung pada barang ekspor maupun impor.

Kepala Dinas Koperasi, Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Diskopindag) Kota Malang, Eko Sri Yuliadi mengatakan, aktivitas ekonomi masyarakat hingga saat ini masih berjalan normal.

“Kalau melihat perputaran ekonomi dan kebutuhan masyarakat sampai hari ini yang tidak terkait dengan barang ekspor-impor, saya kira masih normal. Kebutuhan sehari-hari, kebutuhan pangan, kebutuhan pokok di Malang yang tidak terkait ekspor-impor masih normal,” ujarnya, Senin (18/5/2026).

Meski demikian, Eko mengakui kenaikan dolar tetap berpotensi memicu kenaikan harga pada komoditas yang masih bergantung pada impor. Salah satunya kedelai yang menjadi bahan baku utama tempe.

Menurutnya, kenaikan kurs otomatis akan memengaruhi harga jual kedelai di pasaran. “Kalau kedelai impor ini pasti berpengaruh. Biasanya harga per kilo sekian, nanti pasti ada kenaikan,” katanya.

Kondisi tersebut dinilai perlu diantisipasi, terutama oleh pelaku usaha kecil yang menggunakan bahan baku impor. Di Kota Malang sendiri, kedelai banyak dimanfaatkan untuk produksi tempe hingga aneka olahan seperti keripik tempe.

Namun demikian, pihaknya menyebut pemerintah daerah tidak memiliki kewenangan untuk mengintervensi harga kedelai impor di pasaran. Karena itu, langkah yang bisa dilakukan lebih pada mendorong masyarakat dan pelaku usaha agar lebih bijak dalam menggunakan produk impor.

“Kalau intervensi harga saya kira itu sudah keputusan pemerintah pusat. Daerah tidak bisa mengintervensi harga kedelai impor. Yang bisa dilakukan bagaimana kita lebih bijak memanfaatkan barang-barang impor,” jelasnya.

Meski ada potensi kenaikan harga bahan baku, Eko memastikan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap tempe di Kota Malang hingga kini masih cukup baik dan stabil.
