JATIMTIMES - Lonjakan kunjungan wisatawan diprediksi akan terjadi di Kota Batu sepanjang Mei 2026. Serangkaian libur nasional dan cuti bersama pada bulan ini diyakini menjadi faktor utama yang mendorong meningkatnya arus pelancong ke kota wisata tersebut, terutama saat akhir pekan panjang.

Dinas Pariwisata Kota Batu memperkirakan jumlah wisatawan selama bulan Mei bisa menembus lebih dari setengah juta kunjungan. Angka itu dinilai cukup tinggi jika dibandingkan rata-rata kunjungan pada beberapa bulan sebelumnya.

Kepala Dinas Pariwisata Kota Batu, Onny Ardianto, mengatakan potensi lonjakan kunjungan pada Mei cukup besar karena bertepatan dengan banyak hari libur yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk bepergian.

“Bulan Mei ini berpotensi menjadi salah satu periode kunjungan wisata tertinggi pada semester pertama tahun 2026,” kata Onny, Sabtu (16/5/2026).

Pada tren kunjungan awal tahun, jumlah wisatawan selama Mei diperkirakan berkisar antara 540 ribu hingga 562 ribu orang. Jika tercapai, angka tersebut akan melampaui rerata bulanan yang sebelumnya tercatat sekitar 432 ribu kunjungan.

Data Disparta Kota Batu menunjukkan, pada Januari lalu jumlah wisatawan mencapai 630.438 orang. Sementara pada Februari tercatat 354.292 orang, dan Maret sebanyak 311.862 kunjungan.

“Kalau dilihat dari tren Januari sampai Maret, rata-rata kunjungan bulanan berada di sekitar 432 ribu wisatawan,” imbuh Onny.

Meski rekap data April belum sepenuhnya rampung, Disparta optimistis Mei akan mengalami kenaikan signifikan. Hal itu dipicu sejumlah momen libur panjang, mulai Hari Buruh, libur Kenaikan Yesus Kristus, Hari Raya Waisak, hingga Iduladha yang berdekatan dengan akhir pekan.

“Momentum libur nasional dan cuti bersama menjadi pendorong utama meningkatnya minat masyarakat untuk berwisata ke Kota Batu,” jelasnya.

Tak hanya jumlah pengunjung yang diperkirakan naik, lama tinggal wisatawan juga diprediksi bertambah. Mayoritas pelancong diperkirakan menghabiskan waktu dua hingga tiga malam selama berlibur di Kota Batu, sehingga berdampak langsung pada tingkat hunian hotel dan penginapan.

“Rata-rata wisatawan diperkirakan menginap dua sampai tiga malam di Kota Batu,” tambah Onny.

Selain didominasi wisatawan asal Jawa Timur, kunjungan dari luar provinsi juga mulai meningkat. Beberapa daerah seperti Jakarta dan Jawa Barat disebut menjadi penyumbang wisatawan yang terus bertambah dalam beberapa bulan terakhir.

Dengan kondisi tersebut, sektor pariwisata di Kota Batu diprediksi ikut terdongkrak, mulai dari hotel, restoran, tempat rekreasi, hingga pelaku usaha wisata lainnya yang bersiap menyambut ramainya pengunjung selama long weekend Mei.
