JATIMTIMES - Kota Malang kembali menunjukkan daya tariknya sebagai kota heritage yang memikat komunitas otomotif nasional hingga internasional. Ratusan motor antik lintas generasi milik Motor Antique Club Indonesia (MACI) mengaspal dari depan Balai Kota Malang menuju Benteng Vastenburg Solo dalam gelaran reli internasional Jelajah Warisan Nusantara (JAWARA), Jum'at (15/5/2026).
Sedikitnya 500 motor klasik keluaran tahun 1927 hingga 1976 ikut ambil bagian dalam touring sejauh kurang lebih 550 kilometer tersebut. Deretan kendaraan lawas itu datang dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia, bahkan turut diikuti peserta mancanegara dari Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia hingga Australia.

Pembina MACI, Nanan Soekarna mengatakan, Kota Malang dipilih sebagai titik keberangkatan karena memiliki karakter heritage. Karakter tersebut juga selaras dengan identitas motor-motor klasik peserta reli.
“Dari Malang-lah, kota heritage, sama dengan motornya. Motornya heritage semua,” ujar Nanan, Jumat (15/5/2026).
Menurut dia, reli JAWARA menjadi momen spesial lantaran merupakan reli internasional pertama yang digelar MACI dalam skala nasional. Kehadiran biker dari luar negeri dinilai menjadi bukti bahwa komunitas motor antik Indonesia mulai mendapat perhatian luas di tingkat internasional.
Tak sekadar menyalurkan hobi, Nanan menilai geliat komunitas motor klasik juga membawa dampak ekonomi yang besar bagi masyarakat. Aktivitas restorasi hingga perawatan kendaraan tua disebut mampu menghidupi banyak sektor usaha.
“Motor tua ini menghidupi bengkel, montir, tukang cat, tukang las dan sebagainya. Itu membantu pemerintah dalam konteks ekonomi kreatif,” ungkapnya.
Ia juga menegaskan, komunitas otomotif menjadi ruang mempererat persaudaraan dan memperkuat rasa kebersamaan antaranggota. Semangat itu disebut menjadi modal penting dalam menjaga soliditas komunitas di tengah perkembangan zaman.

Di sisi lain, Kota Malang kini mulai menjadi destinasi favorit berbagai komunitas otomotif untuk memulai touring menuju Bali maupun kota lain di Indonesia. Dalam waktu dekat, komunitas Harley hingga komunitas motor polisi juga dijadwalkan memulai perjalanan dari Kota Malang.
“Hotel penuh, kulinernya laku, semuanya hidup. Ada multiplier effect-nya,” katanya.
Tak hanya MACI, sejumlah komunitas otomotif lain seperti VW Club Indonesia juga dikabarkan bakal menggelar agenda serupa dengan titik keberangkatan dari Kota Malang. Kondisi tersebut dinilai menjadi sinyal positif bagi pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi daerah.
“Masih banyak komunitas-komunitas lain yang juga tertarik dengan Kota Malang. Ini menjadikan bahwa Kota Malang sebagai titik kumpul bagi mereka-mereka,” ucapnya.
