Perkuat Pendidikan Inklusif, Pemkot Kediri Gelar Diklat Pendampingan Peserta Didik Disabilitas

Dinas Pendidikan menggelar Diklat Strategi Efektif Guru dalam Mendampingi Peserta Didik Penyandang Disabilitas.

JATIMTIMES - Dinas Pendidikan (Disdik)  Pemerintah Kota Kediri  terus berupaya menghadirkan layanan pendidikan yang adil, setara, dan berkualitas bagi seluruh peserta didik, termasuk bagi siswa dengan disabilitas. Guna mendukung hal tersebut Pemkot Kediri menggelar Diklat Strategi Efektif Guru dalam Mendampingi Peserta Didik Penyandang Disabilitas yang diikuti 225 Guru Kelas jenjang SD dan Guru BK jenjang SMP di Kota Kediri, Rabu (6/5).

“Ini merupakan bagian dari komitmen kita bersama untuk mewujudkan pendidikan inklusif di Kota Kediri dan memastikan bahwa semua anak, termasuk anak-anak penyandang disabilitas, bisa mendapatkan layanan pendidikan yang layak, nyaman, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhannya,” jelas Mandung Sulaksono, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Kediri saat memberikan sambutan sekaligus membuka kegiatan.

Ia mengatakan,bahwa pelatihan ini sangat relevan dengan kondisi di lapangan, karena dalam mendampingi siswa berkebutuhan khusus diperlukan kesabaran, pemahaman, dan juga strategi yang tepat. Menurutnya dalam pengaplikasiannya sejumlah guru kerap menghadapi kendala saat mendampingi siswa penyandang disabilitas.

“Yang menjadi kendala dan tantangan kami adalah kebutuhan khusus siswa itu bervariasi. Sedangkan tidak semua guru memahami. Maka dari itu guru harus sabar dan menguasai strategi awal untuk mendeteksi apa yang diinginkan anak berkebutuhan khusus,” ucapnya. Kendati demikian, Mandung berkeyakinan bahwa di setiap kelemahan yang dimiliki anak-anak disabilitas pasti ada kelebihan dan nilai tersendiri.

Dirinya berpesan kepada pihak sekolah agar mempererat sinergitas antara pengawas, kepala sekolah, dan guru guna mewujudkan pendidikan inklusif dapat berjalan secara optimal sehingga dapat menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang ramah dan inklusif. Mandung menekankan bahwa budaya sekolah yang menerima dan menghargai perbedaan merupakan kunci utama keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif.

“Saya juga ingin mengajak kita semua untuk melihat anak-anak penyandang disabilitas bukan dari keterbatasannya, tetapi dari potensi yang mereka miliki. Dengan pendampingan yang tepat, mereka juga bisa berkembang dan berprestasi,” terangnya.

Kepada peserta, Ia berharap agar dapat memahami materi dengan sebaik-baiknya, serta kesabaran dan perhatian yang luar biasa terhadap siswa penyandang disabilitas.
