JATIMTIMES - Ketegangan di kawasan Timur Tengah kembali meningkat setelah militer Iran mengeluarkan peringatan keras kepada Amerika Serikat terkait aktivitas di Selat Hormuz. Jalur laut yang menjadi salah satu rute utama perdagangan minyak dunia itu kini berada dalam situasi sensitif.
Peringatan tersebut disampaikan oleh Mayor Jenderal Ali Abdollahi pada Senin (4/5/2026). Dalam pernyataannya yang disiarkan oleh Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), ia menegaskan bahwa Iran tidak akan tinggal diam jika ada kekuatan militer asing memasuki wilayah tersebut.

“Setiap pasukan bersenjata asing, terutama militer AS yang agresif, jika berniat mendekati atau memasuki Selat Hormuz, akan menjadi sasaran dan diserang,” tegas Abdollahi.
Ia juga menekankan bahwa keamanan Selat Hormuz sepenuhnya berada di bawah kendali angkatan bersenjata Iran. Oleh karena itu, segala bentuk jalur aman bagi kapal-kapal harus melalui koordinasi dengan pihak Iran.
Pernyataan ini muncul setelah Presiden Amerika Serikat, Donald Trump, mengumumkan rencana Washington untuk mengawal kapal-kapal yang melintasi kawasan tersebut. Langkah ini diambil sebagai respons terhadap sejumlah kapal yang dilaporkan terjebak di Selat Hormuz.

Di sisi lain, Trump juga mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya tengah melakukan komunikasi yang cukup positif dengan Iran. Ia berharap dialog tersebut dapat menghasilkan solusi yang menguntungkan semua pihak.

Meski demikian, Trump menegaskan bahwa pihak mana pun yang mencoba mengganggu proses tersebut akan ditindak tegas.
