JATIMTIMES - Warga di wilayah pesisir Jawa Timur diminta meningkatkan kewaspadaan. Banjir rob diperkirakan berpotensi terjadi dalam beberapa hari ke depan, tepatnya pada 1 hingga 7 Mei 2026.
Koordinator Bidang Observasi dan Informasi BMKG Maritim Tanjung Perak, Sutarno, menjelaskan bahwa fenomena ini dipicu oleh pasang maksimum air laut yang terjadi bersamaan dengan fase bulan purnama.

"Pasang air laut maksimum yang terjadi saat ini merupakan siklus bulanan posisi bulan. Saat ini fase tengah bulan atau purnama," ujar Sutarno, Sabtu (2/5/2026).
Kondisi tersebut membuat ketinggian muka air laut diperkirakan meningkat hingga kisaran 120 sampai 140 sentimeter.
Beberapa kawasan yang diprediksi terdampak rob antara lain wilayah pelabuhan di Surabaya, termasuk kawasan Surabaya Utara dan Benowo. Selain itu, wilayah pesisir di Gresik, Lamongan, dan Tuban juga masuk dalam daftar daerah rawan. Tak hanya itu, potensi serupa juga diperkirakan terjadi di kawasan pesisir Banyuwangi.
BMKG memprakirakan genangan rob kemungkinan terjadi pada siang hari, terutama sekitar pukul 09.00 hingga 12.00 WIB.

"Genangan air rob dapat mengganggu transportasi di sekitar pelabuhan dan pesisir, aktivitas petani garam dan perikanan, serta kegiatan bongkar muat di pelabuhan," tutup Sutarno.
