JATIMTIMES - Mayat seorang lansia ditemukan pada area persawahan di Desa Genengan, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, Sabtu (25/4/2026). Peristiwa penemuan mayat tersebut sempat membuat gempar warga setempat dan viral di media sosial lantaran ditemukan di kawasan yang cukup ramai, yakni di kawasan belakang SPBU.

Dari penelusuran JatimTIMES di sekitar lokasi kejadian, mayat tersebut ditemukan tergeletak di hamparan persawahan yang cukup luas. Yakni berdekatan dengan akses jalan setapak tepat di samping saluran irigasi untuk akses jalan ke persawahan.

Sesaat setelah adanya penemuan mayat tersebut, sejumlah personel gabungan termasuk Polsek Pakisaji telah diterjunkan ke lokasi kejadian usai menerima laporan. Pada Sabtu (25/4/2026) menjelang siang, mayat terpantau telah dievakuasi guna kepentingan penyelidikan.

Sementara itu, dari sejumlah rekaman video amatir yang viral di media sosial, proses evakuasi nampak melibatkan sejumlah personel gabungan. Yakni mulai dari unsur TNI-Polri, tenaga kesehatan, relawan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kabupaten Malang hingga pemerintah desa setempat.

Ketika dikonfirmasi, Kasubsi Penanggulangan Bencana PMI Kabupaten Malang M Yunus menuturkan, peristiwa penemuan mayat yang kini viral tersebut terjadi pada Sabtu (25/4/2026) sekitar pukul 08.00 WIB. "Berdasarkan informasi dari warga, yang bersangkutan (korban) setiap hari bekerja sebagai buruh tani," ujarnya saat dikonfirmasi JatimTIMES pada Sabtu (25/4/2026) malam.

Disampaikan Yunus, identitas korban diketahui merupakan seorang pria lansia berusia 63 tahun yang bernama Ngatari. Korban merupakan warga asal Desa Kendalpayak, Kecamatan Pakisaji. "Yang bersangkutan sempat melakukan aktivitas mencangkul di sawah sambil mencari sisa padi dari sawah yang sudah di panen," imbuhnya.

Hingga akhirnya, pada kisaran pukul 08.00 WIB, korban ditemukan oleh warga dalam kondisi telah tergeletak tak sadarkan diri di area persawahan. Peristiwa tersebut kemudian dilaporkan kepada perangkat desa setempat, sebelum akhirnya diteruskan kepada Polsek Pakisaji yang langsung berkoordinasi dengan PMI Kabupaten Malang serta sejumlah pihak terkait lainnya. "Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan oleh tenaga medis di lapangan, korban saat itu dinyatakan sudah meninggal di lokasi kejadian," jelasnya.

Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan terhadap jenazah korban, tidak ditemukan adanya unsur tindakan kekerasan maupun penganiayaan. Jenazah korban akhirnya dievakuasi ke rumah duka untuk dilaksanakan proses pemakaman atas permintaan dari pihak keluarga. "Yang bersangkutan ada riwayat sakit dan baru melaksanakan operasi hernia," pungkasnya.
