JATIMTIMES - Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Kota Malang mulai tancap gas menyiapkan kekuatan menuju Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) Jawa Timur 2027. Melalui program pemusatan latihan kota (Puslatkot), seluruh cabang olahraga (cabor) diminta bergerak lebih awal, termasuk memastikan kualitas pelatih melalui kewajiban kepemilikan lisensi resmi.

Sekretaris Umum KONI Kota Malang, Joko Purwosusanto, mengungkapkan bahwa langkah awal akan dimulai dengan memanggil seluruh cabor pada awal pekan depan. Pertemuan tersebut akan difokuskan pada sosialisasi program pembinaan tahun 2026 sekaligus persiapan pra-Puslatkot sebagai tahapan seleksi awal atlet.

"Kami akan sosialisasi mempersiapkan atlet dan pelatih untuk pra-Puslatkot. Ini jadi tahap awal seleksi atlet yang nantinya akan turun di Porprov 2027," ujar Joko.

Ia menjelaskan, proses latihan sejatinya sudah berjalan di masing-masing cabor. Namun, KONI Kota Malang menegaskan akan terus menggenjot kesiapan agar performa atlet semakin optimal ketika memasuki fase seleksi resmi.

Tidak hanya atlet, perhatian serius juga diberikan pada kualitas pelatih. KONI kini menegaskan bahwa setiap pelatih yang terlibat wajib mengantongi sertifikasi atau lisensi kepelatihan sebagai syarat utama.

“Semua pelatih yang terlibat di pra-Puslatkot sampai Porprov wajib punya sertifikasi. Itu menjadi syarat utama,” tegasnya.

Kebijakan ini diambil berdasarkan hasil evaluasi Porprov 2025. Saat itu, masih ditemukan pelatih dengan kemampuan mumpuni, namun belum memiliki lisensi resmi. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada keterbatasan dukungan pembiayaan dari KONI.

"Secara kemampuan bagus, tapi kalau belum tersertifikasi, konsekuensinya tidak bisa masuk dalam skema pembiayaan resmi. Ini yang ingin kami benahi ke depan," jelas Joko.

Sebagai solusi, KONI Kota Malang mendorong setiap cabor untuk aktif meningkatkan kompetensi pelatih melalui pelatihan dan sertifikasi. Sejumlah cabor bahkan telah bergerak lebih cepat, seperti bola basket dan futsal yang bersiap menggelar pelatihan lisensi pelatih dalam waktu dekat.

“Kami support dari sisi kebijakan dan anggaran. Tapi pengelolaannya kami serahkan ke masing-masing cabor, apakah untuk pelatihan pelatih, kejuaraan, atau try in-try out,” katanya.

Dengan persiapan yang lebih sistematis dan terukur, KONI Kota Malang memasang target ambisius pada Porprov 2027, yakni meraih 222 medali emas. Target tersebut dinilai realistis selama pembinaan atlet berjalan konsisten dan kualitas pelatih terus ditingkatkan sejak dini.

“Kami optimistis. Kalau semua berjalan sesuai rencana, baik atlet maupun pelatih siap, target itu bukan hal yang mustahil,” pungkasnya.
