JATIMTIMES - Penggunaan lip gloss kembali naik daun di kalangan pecinta makeup karena mampu memberikan efek bibir yang lebih segar, plumpy, dan berkilau. Namun di balik tampilannya yang menarik, tak sedikit pengguna yang justru mengeluhkan hasil akhir riasan bibir yang kurang maksimal.

Keluhan yang kerap terjadi adalah warna lipstik yang sudah diaplikasikan sebelumnya, terutama teknik ombre, sering bubar atau tercampur setelah ditimpa lip gloss. Padahal warna yang sudah dibaur dengan rapi tiba-tiba berubah, bahkan terlihat menyatu tanpa gradasi begitu lip gloss diaplikasikan.

Menanggapi fenomena tersebut, makeup artist profesional Pao Hilda Afiani menjelaskan bahwa masalah ini sebenarnya bukan pada produknya, melainkan pada teknik pengaplikasian yang kurang tepat.

“Sering banget orang langsung pakai lip gloss di atas lipen yang belum ngeset. Jadi, pas ditimpa, produknya ikut keangkat dan akhirnya nyampur. Itu yang bikin ombre jadi hilang atau warnanya berubah,” jelas Pao.

Menurut dia, kesalahan sederhana ini kerap dilakukan, terutama oleh pemula yang ingin hasil instan tanpa menunggu proses. Padahal, jeda waktu untuk membiarkan lip product set atau mengunci di bibir menjadi kunci utama agar warna tetap presisi.

Pao menambahkan, langkah awal yang sebaiknya dilakukan adalah menggunakan lip base atau foundation bibir untuk menetralkan warna asli bibir. Tahapan ini penting agar warna lipstik yang digunakan setelahnya bisa lebih keluar dan sesuai dengan shade aslinya.

Setelah itu, pengguna bisa mulai mengaplikasikan lipstik atau lip cream sebagai dasar, lalu dilanjutkan dengan teknik ombre menggunakan warna yang lebih bold di bagian dalam bibir. Namun, tahap krusialnya adalah menunggu hingga produk benar-benar mengering.

“Kalau mau hasilnya bagus, harus sabar sedikit. Tunggu sampai lipen-nya ngeset dulu, baru ditambahin lip gloss. Jadi, nanti gloss-nya cuma di atas, nggak ganggu warna di bawahnya,” imbuh Pao.

Ia juga menyarankan untuk mengaplikasikan lip gloss secara tipis dan tidak berlebihan, cukup di bagian tengah bibir untuk memberikan efek dimensi tanpa merusak gradasi warna yang sudah dibuat.

Menurut Pao, lip gloss sebenarnya bukan musuh bagi lipstik atau teknik ombre. Justru jika digunakan dengan cara yang tepat, lip gloss bisa menjadi sentuhan akhir yang menyempurnakan tampilan bibir, membuatnya terlihat lebih sehat dan menarik.

“Lip gloss itu finishing, bukan dicampur. Kalau tekniknya benar, hasilnya malah lebih cantik, lebih hidup, dan tetap rapi,” ucapnya.

Dengan teknik yang tepat, pemilihan produk, hingga kesabaran dalam setiap tahap aplikasi menjadi faktor penting untuk mendapatkan tampilan yang diinginkan.
