Umumnya kacamata terbuat dari bahan berdasar plastik ataupun stainless. Namun, lain halnya dengan kreasi kacamata ini.

Jen Nollaig, desainer asal Dublin, Irlandia, membuat kreasi kacamata yang unik dengan mengandalkan bahan-bahan daur ulang. Karya-karya kacamata tersebut ia pamerkan di laman instagram pribadinya @jen_nollaig.

Dilansir dari eyestylist.com, Jen membuat kreasi tersebut selama masa karantina di rumah karena pandemi covid-19 sejak Maret hingga April 2020 lalu.

 



Dalam kreasi kacamata yang dibuatnya ini, dia menghadirkan kacamata dengan tampilan popcorn. Kacamata ini diciptakan sebagai penunjang fashion Anda saat tengah menonton film di bioskop.

Hmmm bisa sekalian dimakan tidak ya popcorn-nya?

 



Karya unik lainnya, Jen memanfaatkan crayon warna-warni. Menariknya, crayon ini bukan hanya ornamen warnanya, tapi keseluruhan dari bentuk dan berbagai warna yang tertempel pada kacamata buatannya.

Jadi, bingkai kacamata tua dia gunakan sebagai alas. Kemudian crayon berlapis dan pensil warna di atasnya seolah pemakainya akan menutup hampir semua wajahnya.

 



Ada juga karya lain yang Jen buat menggunakan tongkat koktail berlapis. Tongkat itu dilukis dengan tangan dan dilapisi dengan bola polistiren terkompresi yang dicat dari kantong kacang tua.

 



Selanjutnya yang tak kalah menarik, Jen membuat karya kacamata yang produksinya dari sabuk berlian. Jen  menemukan barang itu di toko amal. Kemudian ia mengombinasikan dengan 'googley eyes' dari kotak kerajinan anak-anak.

Semua karya kacamata unik tersebut Jen beri nama 'Me, myself & eye'. Proyek ini dianggap sebagai karya karantina diri saat di rumah saja.
