JATIMTIMES - Sektor pertanian Kota Batu masih menunjukkan performa positif pada awal tahun 2026. Berbagai komoditas hortikultura, mulai dari sayuran hingga tanaman florikultura, mampu mencatatkan produktivitas yang tinggi dan menjadi salah satu penopang ekonomi masyarakat di daerah berhawa sejuk tersebut.

Berdasarkan data triwulan pertama 2026, komoditas sawi atau petsai menjadi penyumbang produksi terbesar di Kota Batu. Tercatat, hasil panen sawi mencapai 28.790,73 kuintal dan menempatkannya sebagai komoditas unggulan di antara berbagai jenis tanaman hortikultura lainnya.

Kepala Dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan Kota Batu, Hendry Suseno, mengatakan tren positif tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sektor pertanian Kota Batu masih memiliki daya saing yang kuat. Produktivitas berbagai komoditas juga tetap terjaga meski menghadapi tantangan perubahan cuaca dan dinamika pasar.

“Berbagai komoditas sayuran hingga tanaman florikultura masih menunjukkan produktivitas yang cukup tinggi sepanjang tahun ini. Produksi sawi jadi yang tertinggi,” kata Hendry.

Selain sawi, sejumlah komoditas lain juga mencatat hasil panen yang cukup besar. Wortel menghasilkan 22.705,39 kuintal, disusul kentang sebanyak 21.427,56 kuintal dan bawang daun mencapai 16.015,17 kuintal.

Produksi komoditas hortikultura lainnya juga tidak kalah menjanjikan. Kembang kol tercatat menghasilkan 15.554,52 kuintal, kubis 11.569,95 kuintal, serta bawang merah sebesar 6.391,30 kuintal.

Tidak hanya sektor sayuran, tanaman florikultura Kota Batu juga terus berkembang dan memberikan kontribusi signifikan. Bunga mawar menjadi komoditas dengan produksi tertinggi di sektor ini dengan capaian 10.065,50 kuintal.

Di bawahnya, produksi bunga krisan mencapai 2.348,75 kuintal, sedangkan anggrek pot mencatatkan hasil sebesar 155,50 kuintal. Keberhasilan tersebut semakin memperkuat posisi Kota Batu sebagai salah satu sentra pertanian dan florikultura di Jawa Timur.

Menurut Hendry, tingginya produktivitas berbagai komoditas tersebut menjadi modal penting dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan sekaligus meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani. Pihaknya akan terus mendorong penguatan sektor pertanian melalui pendampingan dan peningkatan kualitas budidaya agar hasil produksi tetap terjaga sepanjang tahun.
