JATIMTIMES - Di tengah berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi Indonesia, mulai dari persoalan ekonomi, sosial hingga lingkungan, DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Malang mengajak masyarakat kembali menghidupkan semangat gotong royong sebagai fondasi memperkuat kehidupan berbangsa. Nilai yang diwariskan Presiden pertama RI Soekarno itu diangkat dalam rangkaian peringatan Bulan Bung Karno sepanjang Juni 2026.
Berbagai agenda disiapkan, mulai dari diskusi kebangsaan, aksi pelestarian lingkungan, pemberdayaan pelaku UMKM, bakti sosial hingga kegiatan yang melibatkan generasi muda. Seluruh rangkaian tersebut dirancang agar peringatan Bulan Bung Karno tidak berhenti pada kegiatan seremonial, tetapi memberi manfaat langsung bagi masyarakat.

Ketua DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Malang Amithya Ratnanggani Sirraduhita mengatakan, tema gotong royong dipilih karena dinilai menjadi jawaban atas berbagai persoalan yang tengah dihadapi bangsa. Menurut dia, masyarakat membutuhkan semangat kebersamaan untuk menghadapi tantangan yang semakin kompleks.
"Kegiatan kami mencakup berbagai bidang, mulai lingkungan hidup, sosial hingga perekonomian. Nanti juga ada bazar UMKM Gotong Royong dan bakti sosial yang melibatkan masyarakat serta seluruh jajaran struktur partai," kata Amithya, Selasa (16/6/2026).
Sebagai bagian dari rangkaian Bulan Bung Karno, DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Malang menggelar sarasehan kebangsaan yang membedah pidato Bung Karno pada 1 Juni 1945. Dalam forum tersebut, peserta diajak memahami kembali makna gotong royong sebagai inti dari nilai-nilai Pancasila yang dinilai tetap relevan diterapkan dalam kehidupan saat ini.
Tak hanya melalui forum diskusi, semangat tersebut juga diwujudkan lewat aksi nyata di lapangan. Salah satunya dengan menebarkan ribuan benih ikan wader di Sungai Rolak, Kecamatan Kedungkandang. Program ini menjadi bagian dari upaya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan sekaligus mengedukasi masyarakat mengenai pentingnya merawat ekosistem sungai.
Amithya menjelaskan, ikan wader memiliki fungsi ekologis yang penting karena hanya dapat berkembang di perairan dengan kualitas yang baik. Selain menjadi indikator kesehatan sungai, ikan tersebut juga berperan mengendalikan populasi jentik nyamuk penyebab demam berdarah.
"Dengan ikan wader bisa hidup di sungai, itu menunjukkan sungai tidak tercemar. Selain itu, ikan ini juga bisa memakan jentik nyamuk sehingga membantu mengurangi risiko demam berdarah," jelasnya.

Di sisi lain, ikan wader juga memiliki potensi sebagai sumber pangan bergizi sekaligus bernilai ekonomi bagi masyarakat. Karena itu, upaya menjaga kelestarian sungai dinilai bukan hanya berdampak pada lingkungan, tetapi juga mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal.
Rangkaian Bulan Bung Karno juga akan diisi bazar UMKM Gotong Royong, bakti sosial, hingga ziarah sejumlah pengurus anak cabang (PAC) PDI Perjuangan Kota Malang ke makam Bung Karno di Blitar sebagai bentuk penghormatan terhadap sang Proklamator.
Amithya berharap peringatan Bulan Bung Karno dapat menjadi momentum bagi masyarakat untuk kembali meneladani pemikiran Bung Karno, terutama dalam memperkuat persatuan dan kepedulian sosial di tengah berbagai dinamika yang dihadapi Indonesia saat ini.
"Kami ingin masyarakat semakin mengenal Bulan Bung Karno sebagai bentuk penghargaan terhadap sejarah bangsa. Bung Karno adalah tokoh besar dengan pemikiran yang visioner dan masih bisa menjadi teladan dalam kehidupan saat ini," tandasnya.
