JATIMTIMES - Sebanyak 180 sapi kurban dipotong di Rumah Pemotongan Hewan (RPH) Pegirian, Surabaya selama perayaan Hari Raya Idul Adha 1447 H. Sapi itu disembelih mulai dari Rabu (17/5/2026) sampai Sabtu (30/5/2026) sebelum hari tasyrik tiba. 

Direktur Utama RPH Surabaya, Fajar A. Isnugroho menyebut bahwa pada saat ini total sapi yang disembelih ada 70 ekor. 

Sedangkan total sapi yang disembelih besok, Kamis (28/5/2026) ada 68 ekor, Jumat (29/5/2026) ada 35 ekor, dan Sabtu (30/5/2026) ada 7 ekor. 

“Untuk itu kami RPH Surabaya masih ingin memberikan kesempatan bagi masyarakat yang ingin memotong di RPH Surabaya, kita berikan pendaftaran terakhir buka sampai dengan hari besok, Kamis (28/5/2026) dan masih ada slot di hari Jumat dan Sabtu,” ucap Fajar, Rabu. 

Ia menerangkan, di tahun ini RPH Surabaya tidak menjual hewan kurban, melainkan menyediakan jasa potong, kemas, kirim seharga Rp 2,8 juta. Serta, jasa potong dan lepas tulang dibanderol Rp 2 juta. 

“Kemudian potong daging lepas tulang, artinya potong karkas masih besar-besar dan masih memungkinkan panitia mencacah, menimbang dan mengemasi serta membagikan,” jelasnya. 

Ia juga memastikan bahwa dalam setiap pemotongan hewan kurban akan menerapkan tiga prinsip utama, yakni memastikan hewan sehat, disembelih sesuai syari, dan memastikan daging kurban aman dikonsumsi masyarakat. 

“Termasuk dengan memperlakukan hewan dengan baik, tidak menyakiti tidak menyakiti hewan kurban, tidak membuat hewan stres, tidak membuat hewan tidak nyaman itu juga yang kita misi yang kita emban,” tuturnya. 

Selain itu, kehadiran dokter hewan untuk selalu memantau mulai dari sebelum, saat, dan sesudah proses penyembelihan. 

“Sehingga ketika daging ini yang daging kurban ini dibagikan masyarakat, sudah dipastikan dagingnya itu bebas dari virus, penyakit dan aman dikonsumsi,” ucapnya. 

Ia mencontohkan pada saat sebelum penyembelihan, dokter hewan akan memastikan kondisi kesehatan hewan kurban setiap harinya, termasuk pemberian vaksin, makanan cukup, kandang bersih, dan vitamin. 

Sampai pada tahap pengelolaan daging, dokter hewan akan memilah, melihat, dan mengecek kembali kondisi setiap daging hingga jeroan untuk memastikan higienitas dan keamanan sebelum dikonsumsi, 

“Daging-daging itu akan dipilah, dilihat, dicek jeruannya apakah ada ulat, kotoran apa yang mengganggu. Ketika ada ditemukan kotoran, maka bagian itu dipotong atau dimusnahkan sehingga yang dibagikan masyarakat lebih aman,” terangnya. 

Sebab, menurutnya sumber penyakit dari daging sering terdapat pada tingkat kebersihan jeroan yang memiliki tingkat risiko cukup tinggi dengan bakteri dan virus, sehingga membutuhkan proses penyucian yang lebih.
