Kuota Bongkar Ratoon 7.500 Hektare di Kabupaten Malang Berpotensi Terpenuhi di 2026

JATIMTIMES - Dinas Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura dan Perkebunan (DTPHP) Kabupaten Malang meyebut kuota bongkar ratoon atau peremajaan tebu yang sudah tua untuk Kabupaten Malang dari pemerintah pusat sebesar 7.500 hektare berpotensi dapat terpenuhi di tahun 2026. 

Kepala DTPHP Kabupaten Malang Avicenna Medisica Saniputera menyampaikan, dari kuota bongkar ratoon sebesar 7.500 hektare, sebanyak 2.200 hektare lahan di antaranya telah siap untuk melaksanakan program bongkar ratoon.

"Kuota bongkar ratoon tahun ini sebesar 7.500 hektare, yang baru siap 2.200 hektare, yang indikatif yang bisa kami realisasi sekitar 5.000 sampai 5.200 hektare dengan asumsi dua pabrik gula," ungkap Avicenna kepada JatimTIMES.com, Sabtu (23/5/2026). 

Pihaknya menyebut, kuota bongkar ratoon sebesar 7.500 hektare berpotensi dapat terpenuhi dikarenakan potensi lahan tebu di Kabupaten Malang cukup luas. Avicenna menyebut, potensi lahan yang dapat ditanami tebu sekitar 15.000 hektare. 

"Realisasi di tahun 2025 kemarin 4,3 juta ton kurang lebih dengan luas lahan sekitar 48.000 hektare. Insya Allah nanti musim tanam raya sebenarnya sudah mulai, tetapi secara masif itu September. Jadi Agustus kami olah lahan, diharapkan November sudah selesai," tutur Avicenna. 

Selain itu, nantinya diperkirakan pada Agustus 2026 mendatang juga akan terjadi panen raya dari hasil program bongkar ratoon yang dilakukan pada September 2025 lalu. Sehingga ia meyakini di tahun 2026 ini produksi tebu akan meningkat dan produksi gula akan surplus di masing-masing pabrik gula yang ada di Kabupaten Malang.

Setidaknya, ia berharap capaian produksi tebu dan gula di Kabupaten Malang dapat melampaui capaian di tahun 2025 atau minimal sama dengan tahun 2025. Hal itu bertujuan agar masyarakat semakin sejahtera dengan produksi tebu dan gula yang kian meningkat. 

"Pak Bupati mengharapkan peningkatan rendemen kuncinya supaya penghasilan petani meningkat. Salah satunya adalah efisiensi pabrik, karena pabrik sudah tua maka mencoba apakah revitalisasi. Kalau mungkin pusat punya program pembangunan pabrik baru Pak Bupati ingin satu ada di Malang," pungkas Avicenna.
