JATIMTIMES - Dishub Kota Malang masih mengkaji rencana pemanfaatan angkutan kota (angkot) sebagai feeder atau transportasi pengumpan untuk mendukung operasional Bus TransJatim di wilayah Malang Raya. Rencana tersebut nantinya akan memanfaatkan armada angkot yang sudah beroperasi saat ini.

Kepala Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Malang, Widjaja Saleh Putra mengatakan pihaknya terlebih dahulu akan berkomunikasi dengan para pemilik angkot sebelum merealisasikan skema tersebut.

“Kami akan membicarakan ini dengan teman-teman (pemilik angkutan kota), karena pemerintah kota tidak memiliki kendaraannya,” ujar Jaya, sapaan akrabnya.

Menurutnya, tidak semua armada angkot bisa langsung dijadikan feeder TransJatim. Sebab, terdapat sejumlah persyaratan administrasi maupun kelayakan operasional yang harus dipenuhi oleh masing-masing kendaraan.

Dari sekitar 600 unit angkot yang ada di Kota Malang, diperkirakan hanya sekitar 180 unit yang memenuhi syarat untuk mendukung layanan feeder TransJatim.

Selain menyiapkan armada, Dishub Kota Malang juga tengah menyusun skema penataan ulang trayek atau rerouting angkot agar layanan transportasi publik lebih efektif dan mudah dijangkau masyarakat.

“Dari 25 trayek yang aktif 15 trayek,” kata dia.

Widjaja menambahkan, rencana operasional feeder tersebut masih akan dibahas lebih lanjut bersama Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur selaku pengampu layanan Bus TransJatim, termasuk terkait kemungkinan skema pembiayaan bersama.

“(Pembiayaan bersama) bisa jadi tetapi kami diskusikan terlebih dahulu dengan mereka,” ujarnya.

Sebagai informasi, Bus TransJatim koridor Malang Raya melayani rute sepanjang 52 kilometer dengan lintasan Kota Malang-Kabupaten Malang via Dau-Kota Batu.

Berdasarkan data Dishub Provinsi Jawa Timur, load factor (LF) TransJatim koridor Malang Raya pada Mei 2026 mencapai 109 persen atau sekitar 3.213 penumpang per hari. Angka tersebut meningkat dibanding April 2026 yang berada di angka 95 persen atau sekitar 2.697 penumpang per hari.
