JATIMTIMES - Kepala Diskopindag Kota Malang , Eko Sri Yuliadi, memastikan proses relokasi pedagang di Pasar Gadang masih berjalan bertahap dan belum sepenuhnya rampung, terutama bagi pedagang yang berjualan di tepi jalan.
Ia menjelaskan, aktivitas pedagang saat ini masih terlihat normal karena sebagian besar masih dalam tahap penataan tempat berjualan di lokasi relokasi. “Kalau yang di dalam itu sebenarnya sudah menata. Pedagang ikan, pracangan, mereka kan harus menyiapkan meja, rak, sama tempat jualannya dulu,” ujarnya.

Menurut Eko, sejumlah pedagang bahkan telah mulai membuat lapak seperti meja, rak, hingga pembagian tempat untuk komoditas seperti beras dan gula. Proses tersebut menjadi bagian penting sebelum mereka benar-benar pindah ke lokasi yang telah disediakan.
Setelah seluruh penataan dinyatakan selesai, barulah pedagang yang selama ini berjualan di pinggir jalan akan masuk menempati lokasi di dalam pasar.
“Kalau itu sudah clear, nanti yang di luar otomatis masuk semua. Tempatnya sudah dijatah,” katanya.
Terkait target waktu, Eko menyebut relokasi ditargetkan tuntas dalam bulan ini. Namun, prosesnya dilakukan secara bertahap mengingat tidak hanya memindahkan barang, tetapi juga aktivitas perdagangan para pedagang.
“Kalau mindah barang itu gampang, cepat. Tapi ini memindah orang sekaligus aktivitasnya. Itu yang butuh waktu,” jelasnya.
Ia menambahkan, para pedagang saat ini memang tengah mempersiapkan kebutuhan lapaknya masing-masing, seperti membuat rak, saluran, hingga perlengkapan sesuai jenis dagangannya. Hal tersebut dinilai sebagai penyebab utama proses relokasi terkesan berjalan lambat.

“Bukan berarti tidak pindah, tapi mereka masih proses menyiapkan tempat jualannya,” tegasnya.
Eko juga menjelaskan bahwa relokasi pasar pada dasarnya selalu menghadapi pola serupa. Meski tempat baru sudah tersedia, pedagang tetap membutuhkan waktu untuk menyesuaikan dan melengkapi fasilitas berdagangnya.
Sementara itu, terkait sejarah Pasar Gadang, Eko mengungkapkan bahwa area pasar sejak awal memang mencakup sisi utara dan selatan. Bahkan, sebelum adanya jembatan, kawasan tersebut sudah menjadi pusat aktivitas perdagangan.
“Dulu itu dua-duanya pasar. Bahkan sebelum ada jembatan, itu sudah jadi kawasan pasar. Jalannya itu justru di tengah pasar,” pungkasnya.
