DireDKA Unikama menggelar kegiatan Coaching Clinic dalam rangka persiapan Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) Tahun 2026 (ist)
JATIMTIMES - Persaingan di Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa tidak pernah longgar. Dari sekitar 75.000 mahasiswa yang terlibat pada periode 2024 sampai 2025, hanya sekitar 10 persen proposal yang berhasil mendapatkan pendanaan. Angka ini bukan sekadar statistik, tapi gambaran nyata betapa selektifnya program tersebut.
Gambaran itu yang kemudian dibawa ke dalam ruang Aula Abd. Rajab Unikama belum lama ini. Puluhan mahasiswa hadir dengan tujuan yang sama, mencari celah di tengah peluang yang sempit.

Sejak awal, suasana diarahkan tidak kaku. Direktur Direktorat Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni (DKA) Unikama, Dr. Teguh Sulistyo , M.Pd., memilih memulai dari hal yang paling dekat dengan pengalaman mahasiswa, yaitu proses yang tidak selalu mulus.
“Kesuksesan itu memerlukan sebuah proses, belajar dari kegagalan, dan mencermati setiap proses refleksi untuk memperbaikinya menuju kesuksesan yang sesungguhnya,” ujarnya.
Pendekatan itu terasa lebih membumi, apalagi saat ia menyelipkan pengalaman pribadinya. Pesannya sederhana, jangan berhenti hanya karena gagal, dan terus latih cara berpikir yang kreatif.
Pembahasan kemudian masuk ke inti saat Prof. Ir. Henik Sukorini, MP, Ph.D, IPM, yang merupakan Guru Besar Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) sekaligus reviewer nasional PKM, mulai memaparkan materi. Ia langsung mengajak peserta melihat peta persaingan PKM secara terbuka.
“Pada periode 2024-2025, tercatat sekitar 75.000 mahasiswa terlibat dalam PKM di seluruh Indonesia. Namun, dari jumlah tersebut, proposal yang diterima untuk seleksi hanya berkisar 40.000 sampai 60.000 proposal. Sementara yang berhasil didanai hanya sekitar 4.000 hingga 6.000 proposal saja,” jelasnya.

Dari data tersebut, terlihat jelas bahwa peluang memang kecil. Namun, menurutnya, peluang tetap ada bagi mereka yang benar-benar siap. “Artinya, peluang itu sempit tetapi sangat terbuka bagi mereka yang mempersiapkan proposal dengan matang, berbasis data, dan memiliki inovasi yang tajam,” tegasnya.
Di bagian akhir, Prof. Henik mengingatkan bahwa capaian PKM tidak hanya berdampak pada mahasiswa secara individu, tetapi juga pada institusi. “Prestasi mahasiswa ini nantinya dapat menghantarkan Universitas menuju predikat Perguruan Tinggi yang Unggul, demikian pula dengan program studi yang berhasil mencetak juara PKM, tentu akan mempermudah langkahnya menuju status Program Studi yang Unggul pula,” pungkasnya.
